M. Scott Phifer has become one of Springfield, Missouri’s premiere up and coming artists.  Born and raised in Missouri.  He attended State Fair Community College in Sedalia before moving to Springfield.  Since moving to Springfield in the 90s he has studied privately, honing his natural abilities.  He has won multiple awards and participated in several group shows in Springfield and St. Louis. 

         Working with soft pastels, he has produced a large collection of very colorful and imaginative work.  He still works in many media and hopes to continue learning and changing.

        In October 2008, he moved to the Phillipines for 6 months.  He was able to complete several pieces while out of the country.  Since returning to the U.S. he has taken some time to process the changes.
